Overview
This walk takes you through one of Bangkok’s oldest expat neighborhoods along the Chao Phraya River, where Portuguese, Thai, Chinese, and early Western missionary influences come together. Stroll through centuries-old church, temple, shrines, and charming alleyways, while sampling the iconic Kudeecheen cupcake— one of Thailand’s first dessert to feature egg as its main ingredient.
Perfect for cultural explorers and curious travelers alike, this small-group walking tour offers meaningful insights, picturesque stops, and authentic local charm—all in one unforgettable journey.

Itinerary

09:00: Check-in and Introduction
- Meet at Sanamchai MRT Exit 5. A short introduction to the walk. We’ll begin by crossing the river to the Thonburi side via a local ferry.
09:20-10.40: Explore the Kadeecheen Community
- Discover the unique blend of Portuguese, Thai, Chinese, and Catholic influences in this historic neighborhood.
- Visit a Thai temple, Chinese shrine, and Catholic church.
- Walk along the Chao Phraya River.
- Taste the famous Kudeecheen cupcake.
- Visit Kudichin Museum
10.50: Ferry back to MRT Sanam Chai
11.00: End of Tour at Sanam Chai MRT Station
Hiking Detail
- The total walking distance is approximately 1 kilometer within Kadeecheen community, mostly on flat terrain with minimal elevation.
- The tour includes two local ferry crossings over the Chao Phraya River, each taking about 5–10 minutes.
- We will visit museum which is an original Thai house.
- One drink is included at the museum
- A restroom stop will be possible at the museum/ café around halfway through the tour.
