This is the second part of the long holiday Songkran Trip. This trip focuses on Khao Sok National park, both the dam and Hiking. We are going to hike the national park and search for the largest flower in the world. See the viewpoint on the top of the temple, and spend a night inside the Ratchaprapa lake, which is one of the most beautiful lakes in Thailand.

Day 0: Sun 11th

19.00: The van leaves from Bangkok to Surat Thani Province (700 km, takes around 10 hours to get there) 

Day 1: Mon 12th

06.00: Arrive at the temple. Breakfast and coffee, take photos of the sunrise and the temple gate

07.00: Start hiking up to the #5 peak (1.30 – 2 hours hike) 

10.00: Back to the van, then leave for the Ratchaprapa Dam. (stop at 7-11 to get snacks)

11.00: Arrive at the Ratchaprapa Dam, we will do the Bridge walk and see the heart shape mountain (Additional Hike: Level: Easy)

12.00: Lunch

13.00: Meet at the pier 

14.30: Check-in, then you may enjoy the water activities, swimming, kayak (we compensate for the activities at the raft area, to rent of kayak, swimming rings) 

17.00: The boat will pick us up from our accommodation, and will take us for the sunset and animal watching tour 

18.30: Return to the accommodation, dinner at the National Park 

19.30: Enjoy the rest of your day  

Day 2: Tue 13

07.00-07.30: Breakfast

8.00: Check out, take the boat to see the fog above the water & viewpoints. 

10.00: Back to the entrance, change to the van back to Khao Sok National Park for hiking

11.00: Arrive at Khao Sok National Park. and lunch. Check in and get ready to hike

         The highlight of this hike is to see Rafflesia arnoldii, it’s the largest flower in the world and listed as one of the top 10 strange flowers in the world. This flower is hard to find, it blooms once a year between November to April, and only lives for 7 days. The flower is not a guarantee, we will see it if we get lucky 🙂 The hiking route is 4km, with the local tour guide. 

12.00: Start hiking (4km, take 3-4 hours to hike) 

15.00: Back to the National Park.  Then drive back to Bangkok 

18.00: Dinner on the way

20.00: Check in at the guest house

Day 3: Wed 14th

7.00-7.30: Breakfast 

8.00: Get to the van and return to Bangkok. (Lunch on the way back)

16.00: Back to Bangkok and end the trip
